What do you see?
AND PEOPLE WINS
because this is a good show
. I love the parallels. In ‘Always’, Kate gives herself to him - ‘I just want you’ - she wants him above anything else. ‘Watershed’ is the closing parenthesis to that scene; Castle gives himself to her in return - ‘whatever you decide - he just wants her.I love how serious he is when he asks her. That’s always been something she’s wondered about him—can he be serious when he needs to be, when she needs him to be? But of course we all know that he’s never more serious than when it comes to how much he loves her. There’s no joking, no smirk—just the earnest sincerity of a man who knows what he wants and desperately needs her to know how serious he is about this, about her, about them. Richard Castle isn’t scared of much, but he’s terrified of losing her—not to a new job or a new city, but to her own fears an insecurities about him. So he puts it all on the line, he takes the next leap forward and hopes to God she’s going to follow him. Because he’s ready—they’re ready. They’ve been friends for five years, learning everything there is to know about one another, breaking down walls and facing down death and falling in love. “Always” has a new meaning now, but that promise of forever has been there for so long between them—and that’s why this proposal felt so earned, so real, and so right.
^ a thousand times this!
So interesting to read the different opinions on this scene & the proposal.
DELENA APPRECIATION WEEK: day one - Why do you love them?
I just love how far they went after everything they’ve been through. Elena hated him and still they’ve started to be friends and the more they stayed with each other, the more the feelings have grown. They have so much chemistry together and i loved every scene they had. They always save each other, no matter what. And thanks to Elena we were able to see a completely different side of Damon, his humanity and his selflessness. Their love is real, and when it’s real you can’t walk away.
Long story short, I just love everything about this ship : the angst, the friendship, the jealousy, the flirts, the saves, the hugs, the dances, the hate, the love.
Celebrating one year of Castle and Beckett
( One year anniversary- May 7th)
I reblog this every time it comes up on my dashboard, not because it is a “rule” but because every time I see it the love and sincerity on her face hit me all over again and I think everyone deserves to see that.
And THIS is why I adore Catherine Tate. She’s loud and brash but in quieter moments… her soul comes shining through and it makes everything about her so much more beautiful.
